Spread The Love

Can you remember back to the first time someone paid you a compliment? Helped you through an extremely low point in your life? Listened to you when you needed to vent about something silly that happened that day, but really bugged you at the time?

I remember in the fourth grade, my friend Chantel and I were riding bikes around our neighborhood. we were talking about life, or maybe just the things that made up our little 4th grade life, and we started talking about looks. i don't remember specifically how the topic came up - i think i said something about how i don't feel that cute or something dumb - and i remember she stopped and looked at me and said: "i think you have the prettiest eyes." so so simple, but man it meant a lot to my little self back then, because i was really struggling with feeling "pretty" and "fitting in".

I have since learned that outward beauty isn't what is important, nor is it the way to fit in. our inward beauty is everything. our ability to love others for who they are no matter their flaws. The real way that I personally feel whole and beautiful is when i am doing service for others. Kindness paves the way for true love and charity. I have seen this time and time again in my life. recently i came across a woman with whom i didn't "gel" with. it bugged me. i am like the easiest person to get along with! why didn't she like me? i would always smile but get no response from her or even a friendly hello! why?! and it bugged me that it bugged me! i decided to try harder and get to know her better. low and behold a simple conversation showed us that we had lived in similar areas, and had been through similar circumstances. while not "best friends" i don't feel that same feeling around her that i did before.

I am insanely excited to introduce the Spread the Love project with you. Sweet sweet Kelsie, who blogs over here, has asked 5 other amazing women to team up to help spread some love and kindness over on Instagram this week. I was so flattered and beyond happy to contribute to the team. Find out more about this fun project and how YOU can help by reading on!

 The Project

 giveaway-loop-2
So what is the project you ask? Well, at first glance it would appear to be just a giveaway... But I assure you, it is so much more than that. It is an attempt at spreading love through as much of social media as possible. There is so much cruelty out there right now, people hiding behind their screens saying such hurtful things. So what we are hoping to do is through this giveaway, through this "Instagram Loop" we want to encourage everyone to share as much love and kindness as they possibly can afford (wanna know the best part... kindness is completely free! Which means everyone can afford A LOT!)

How To Join

We want you... ALL of you, anyone that can possibly spare one minute of their day, to join in this project by going to the Instagram Loop, you can start at any of the following instagram accounts: @kelsieloustanfill, @thesullengers, @tessief11, @feelgreatin8, @themomentswestand, or @missaudreysuedesigns. Follow the loop and comment by tagging friends. That is your entry (Follow all 6 IG accounts and tag a friend - or 100). Here is the catch though... your entry will ONLY count if you say what you love/like about the person/people you have tagged. Each person you tag and leave a kind note/comment for counts as a NEW entry! That's right, you can be entered as many times as you want, just by tagging friends and telling them what you love about them.

The Giveaway

What is the giveaway you ask? We have come together with a wonderful "basket" of goodies for one lucky winner in this kindness loop (But really, everyone will be a winner because how do you NOT win with kindness and love?)

The Basket:

- One beautiful 11x14 print (made by me!)
- "The Power of Kindess", a book by Piero Ferrucci
- 50% off a Permanent Make Up procedure done by the lovely Tessie (tessief11) (Must be able to go to Utah for the treatment).

The Team

I am over the moon excited to be working with these incredible women. Truly, to say I am honored is an understatement. Please take a moment to get to know each of the incredible women who are helping me with this project, and who feel just as passionately about spreading love and kindness as I do. **goosbumps** these girls are seriously incredible.

Ashlee Birk

My name is Ashlee. I am a mother. I am a daughter. I am a sister. I am an average girl whose dream has always been to be a mother and a wife. I have always craved a simple life, one of peace and happiness. I am a planner. I have always planned on my simple desire for life. I have learned that you can not always plan. I have come to find out that not every one who dreams of a simple life will be granted it as such. I am a "victim" of murder. I am a victim of infidelity. I am not alone in this sentence. I have had the privilege of raising my children and helping 5 other little "victims" find faith in a world that on a cold night in March left them with none. This is how we found light in a place that went dark all around us. How I learned to see a garden of beauty even when all felt lost. I hope that our story and the lessons we have learned can bring peace to at least one other struggling to find answers in their lives, and in turn help us find the peace that we continually seek. I got my degree in child development and human relationships from Utah State University with the hope in helping others through their hard times. I have had more people help me through mine. I used to consider myself a parenting expert... boy was I wrong. Through everything my kids have gone through..they have taught me way more than I could have ever taught them. They have been the little Angels that have pulled me to a brighter hour. They have given me hope and purpose. We have been on a journey of healing, searching for peace. Thanks for listening.

Tessie Friedli

I'm the wife to a blind man and a mom to a brain injured angel boy! Never imagined either of these in my "story" of life but I have learned to expect the unexpected. My blog is my journal of this crazy adventure called life...the good, the bad, and the ugly. I try my best to live each imperfect day wonderfully! Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail!! But I wouldn't trade these trials for the world. They have taught me ALL of the most important things I have EVER learned in life and have made me the person I am today!!

Ashley Sullenger

We are a family of six with our daughter watching over us from heaven. Presley passed away in 2010, due to an accidental drowning, and a year later we were blessed with our son Ledger. In 2013 we were shocked to learn Cruiz and Cannon (our twin boys!) were on their way. Feel free to cry along with us as we share our thoughts on grief, and laugh as we attempt to raise 3 boys, just two years apart.

Tiffany Rudd

Hi! I’m Tiffany, Feel Great in 8 creator and host! The first thing you should know about me is that I am not “that” girl. I don’t spend hours every day at the gym, I don’t have six-pack abs, I absolutely despise running, and I don’t eat 100% organic or raise my own chickens.I’m not that girl…but I am a wife, a mom of 4, a foodie, and just like you, I’m working on living a healthy lifestyle. I love cheesy dance workout videos, dark chocolate, watching movies with my husband, and riding my beach cruiser around the neighborhood like a kid.

Making healthy choices is still a challenge for me every day. I hate the dreaded “d” word {diet}, I love delicious food, and I refuse to let the number on my jeans determine my happiness. For a long time I wished to be “that” girl, but now I’ve realized that being an imperfect work in progress makes me a better host.

I can’t promise you that I’ll be perfect. But I can promise that I will be here to support you and cheer you on. I can promise that I will be understanding and sympathetic when you struggle. No judgements here, just a group of awesome people working on a healthy lifestyle together!

Kelsie Stanfill

I am a lover of all things beautiful. I find joy in the little day to day things and am completely fulfilled in my role as a wife and a mother. I can think of no greater joy in this life than to be the mother to my two beautiful daughters. Each day they teach me the greatest lessons life has to offer of love, patience and a Christ-like meekness and charity. I have a passion for kindness and serving those around you. If you think there is no service to be done, simply ask your Father in Heaven which of His children need you this day.

In my "spare time" I am a DIY home makeover fanatic, transforming our "fixer upper" one room at a time. I love to design, create and see my visions come to life right before my eyes, with the support and skills of my darling husband by my side through it all.

My favorite color is white, my favorite food is Thai and Mediterranean. I love fashion, cheesy movies, and pretty much any and every Holiday. Any excuse for extra decorations and hosting parties, you can be sure I'm all in. Here on my blog I share my love for all these things, my DIY inspirations and how to's and my love of motherhood, my Savior and being a wife and homemaker.

Miss Audrey Sue

Hey! It's me! I draw, I read, I write, I play the piano. But mostly, I chase 2 little babes around all day while daydreaming about typography and what patterns mix, and what colors look good together. I also strive to be the best wife and friend I can...all while trying hard to not hate cooking dinners. I've blogged since 2008, designed blogs since 2012, and recently started creating prints to share and brighten the lives of those around me. I truly believe in the power of words and the positive impact they can have on our lives. Seeing a motivational quote on my wall or fridge or nightstand can make all the difference in my day, and I want that for you too!
Thank you for stopping by and getting to know us. We are so excited for this chance to spread the love on Instagram, and we hope you are excited and ready to join in.

Have a beautiful and happy day!
