like momma like baby: matching shirts

i got a little excited over the Liquid Stitch (see here) and couldn't help but want to make B and i coordinating shirts.

i got the idea for this project when reading this post over on Little Baby Garvin. she always has her and her tot wearing the cutest matchy-matchy outfits, and i thought: "dang. i better get on that before B gets too old and won't let me dress him-let alone want to match me!" haha. but for reals yo.

because there was no way i was going to spend $50+ for a shirt and a baby t, i decided to (yep, you guessed it) mimic them myself. thank you SilhouetteSD and Liquid Stitch. you guys are the greatest.

all i did was pull up an image of their(hello apparel) "hello" and a "hi" from here. i opened them in my Silhouette Studio, traced them, cut them, and then used them as templates to cut out the fabric. then i used Liquid Stitch to glue them on. wham bam thank you ma'am.

i don't think they turned out too bad. here's a better pic of B's front:
